Biography

 

Annette Jones is a fully qualified professional freelance Makeup Artist and Hair Designer. A talent with some 20 years industry experience, currently basing herself in Asia but working her craft as a PRO Makeup Artist anywhere her job takes her.

 

Annette’s work ranges from commercial projects, fashion, editorial, beauty, wedding/bridal, music videos, TV and film (including theatrical) together with SFX. Annette also shares her years of professional knowledge and skills in personally designed makeup workshops that she teaches. Her work in Asia has includes clients from the Indian film market Bollywood as well as Indian TV commercials.

 

During her career, Annette’s media work included being the Makeup Artist on set for UK's Granada TV, BBC, and Lyme Productions on longstanding soap operas such as Coronation Street. Hollyoaks, and the popular Grange Hill as well as Brookside. Her work extends into film where she worked on set for the British comedy-crime film 'Snatch' directed by Guy Ritchie.

 

Annette believes that a key aspect to being a good M.U.A. is to be a good listener which allows her to gel with her clients that she is working on. Her easy going, yet professional style, bubbly nature and can-do approach to work, helps her to do this seamlessly giving the model/client confidence whilst in her capable hands.

 

As an artist, in her eyes, Annette believes that everyone is beautiful in some way or another. And that her skills helps to draw out the best features of everyone that she works on. She loves to be inspired by other creatives and the buzz of being on set. Annette relishes in her job, does enjoy having fun on set, but always remains professional.

 

Annette likes to have her finger-on-the-pulse with the latest trends and keeps updated in what’s happening in the current beauty and cosmetic industry. Using only quality products such as Dior, Bobbi Brown, M.A.C. and Chanel to ensure her clients are delivered results with the wow- factor every time.
